Mommy Makeover

Women experience dramatic changes in their bodies both during and after pregnancy and if a woman is looking to recontour her body, a Mommy Makeover may be the perfect solution. A mommy makeover can include any of the following procedures:

  • Abdominoplasty
  • Breast enlargement
  • Breast lift
  • Liposuction

It is not always easy for a woman to take time away from her children or her job to have cosmetic work done, which is why a mommy makeover is such an excellent option. It allows a woman to have all of the procedures done at once in order to cut down on the recovery time.
Before a woman gets a mommy makeover, it is recommended that she lose as much weight as possible and to let her breasts get back to normal (which is generally 2-3 months after she has stopped breast feeding). If you are planning on having more children, it may be more beneficial to have the mommy makeover once you are finished having children.

After a mommy makeover, there will be a recovery period of 10-14 days, in which you will need to be on bed rest, with a limited ability to move around your home. 5-6 weeks after the procedure, you can start to lightly exercise, but should still abstain from lifting anything too heavy. Usually around 8 weeks after the procedure, you can resume your normal activities without any restriction.
